Details Bookings Meeting Format Prices, Times & More Last Updated: 18th April 2025 08:13 18th April 2025 PreviewBriSCA F1, BriSCA F2, National Hotrods Good Friday Action Good Friday is a significant date in the history of oval racing, back on Easter Friday, 1954, the first ever stock car meeting in the UK was held at New Cross stadium in London. The sport soon spread around the rest of the country and has made a lasting impact since that inaugural meeting. Good Friday’s meeting features a triple headlining line up of BriSCA F1 and F2 racing, along with the National Hot Rods. The BriSCA F1 season has started off with some cracking meetings, the two recent tarmac meetings saw wins for Callum Thornton (368) and Jordan Falding (36). They will be hard to catch around the Skegness oval and the star grade drivers will have their work cut out to catch them, but don’t rule out perennial race winner Frankie Wainman, Jr (515) who has already won two finals on shale, and Ant Whorton-Eales (408) who recently debuted his stunning new Harrison built machine. Tonight will also see the final being the Rod Sargent Memorial, father of Mark and Grandfather of Finn. The F1s will be back here at Skegness in May for the first of the season’s speedweeknd on May10th and 11th, The BriSCA F2s already have a couple of meetings under their belt here at Skegness, Archie Grindey (155) has won both of them, a great start for him in his first season in F2s, can he make it three in a row? There is no reason why he can’t, but he will have a star studied line up of drivers trying to prevent him completing the hat-trick. The F2s will also be back here for the May bnk holiday weekend and then again for the Speedweekend on May10th and 11th. The National Hot Rods are making their one and only appearance at Skegness Raceway in 2025. They are a formula that put on a great show, the speed of them has to be seen to be believed. Billy Wood (305) tops the world championship qualifying points, and he will be among the favourites to win on Good Friday, but he will have to withstand fierce competition from Perry Cooke (524), Chris Haird (115) and Nick Roots (77) who are always in contention for race wins. Promoter Rob Speak will race a National Hotrod on Good Friday when he races a car from World Champion Robert McDonald! Rob last raced a National Hotrod in 2002!
